It is helpful to take an inventory–a real honest inventory–of what we have grown comfortable with and what we are settling for and calling it our life. When we finally admit that what we are worried about saving isn’t that grand, it becomes easier to risk it for the dream.
Even when it comes to keeping ourselves alive, we are helpless. Jim Elliot’s famous line, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose” has prompted me (the big chicken) to bravery many times.
Here’s to being the person you admire…
