I met a woman the other day who had multiple (unfair and ridiculous) medical challenges, but her spirit was so buoyant that I didn’t notice her wheelchair until thirty minutes into our conversation! When I asked about her joy, she expounded upon the day she realized she hated the bitter person she had become more than she hated her condition.
So, she set out to change it. She found financial assistance to work on a degree. The associate degree took eight years, but three years later she had her Masters degree.
She is now aggressively working to make a difference for others…with a great big smile.
