Last week, three twenty-somethings told me they were struggling with despair and suicidal thoughts because they considered themselves to be unsuccessful. Two of them compared themselves to their friends who already had advanced degrees and six-figure salaries. I had felt the same way…in my late forties.
But, I found out that time doesn’t run out while we still have breath in our lungs. Our timelines are custom built and unlike anyone else’s.
Now I know…
- There is more to come…worth hanging on for
- I could have saved a lot of energy, money, and time by refusing to despair
- The longer the preparation, the greater the mission
- The Universe doesn’t waste human resources– regardless of outward appearances, our lives and gifts matter more than we can ever know
