I heard a friend complaining about how unjust the weather forecast was for the weekend and was reminded about my own tendency to fill up the silence with powerless comments or complaints.
How have we become so spoiled or clueless that we waste the airspace for stuff like this?
Joel is not saying that we shouldn’t speak up about things that matter or that we should pretend everything is just hunky-dory when it isn’t. He is only reminding us to be mature human beings when we open our mouths.
The silence is too sweet to squander.
