Feeling Honored and Accepted Enough to Be Real

There is a refreshment like no other that comes from being seen and appreciated just as you are.

Not for who you wish you were.

Not for who you want people to think you are.

Not for who you think you should be.

Just…for who you really are, crazy imperfections and all.

Ironically, though, even if someone honors and accepts you sans pedigree, accomplishments, wealth, beauty, etc., if we don’t honor ourselves just as we are, we’ll still keep trying to hustle for our worthiness, and miss the refreshment.
