What’s in Your Pantry?

Failing to check for what we need results in lack, or in wasteful trips back and forth to the store. Most of us have had enough of these experiences to teach us the value of inventory and preparation.

Unfortunately, though, we sometimes fail to take the same precautions with our inner life. We get up and get going, assuming “we got this.” But, without a regular inventory and replenishment, more often than not, we are shocked to discover that the cupboard was bare.

“…he lived his life without much reflection and one day he awoke to overwhelming emptiness and powerlessness.” – Gary Zukav

Check regularly for what’s missing or be blind-sighted later.  Your choice.

  1. This is possibly the most appropriate metaphor I have heard. You are very clever.
