If you happen to encounter a Scrooge during the holiday season or stumble upon the Charles Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol, let the hope of change and transformation wash over you. Maybe true transformation is rare, yet it still happens. Occasionally, someone looks at themselves long and courageously enough to spark a radical catharsis that will benefit us all.
Redemption is costly and never comes easy: hence, the importance of noticing it in others, seeking it for ourselves, and resigning to its pure, magnetic power over our emotions when it comes.
For a good dose of transformation hope, check your cynicism at the door and attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, watch an episode of Undercover Boss, or read The Alchemist.
Your spirit will thank you.
