It seems to me that if the Universe meant for us to take ourselves seriously, it wouldn’t be necessary to spend so much of our “terribly important” lives on silly, repetitive tasks.
For a quick grounding, the next time you are tempted to overestimate yourself, just contemplate how much time you devote to cleaning yourself, feeding yourself, and putting yourself “into the battery charger” (bed). (Not to mention all the years it took you to learn basic, basic tasks just so you could merely live on your own.)
When I need evidence that life is about love and awareness versus accomplishment, this helps immensely.
